The service

Projects Ahead publishes and organizes public construction-permit records and provides an application to search them. The records originate with public issuing authorities and can be incomplete, delayed, changed, or contain errors. Use Projects Ahead to prioritize research, then verify any project, contractor, address, permit, and decision with the issuing authority and your own process.

Research, not a guarantee

Figures on Projects Ahead are historical frequencies calculated from public records. They do not predict a particular project with certainty and are not a recommendation to bid, hire, contact or avoid any company.

Permit records can change, arrive late or contain errors. Before making a commercial decision, verify the relevant project, contractor and permit with the issuing authority and your own due-diligence process.

Citing our figures

When citing a figure from this site, identify Projects Ahead, the named issuing authority, the jurisdiction, the stated horizon and the sample size.

Articles and authors

Articles on this site are written from public permit records and our own measurements. Authors of articles may publish under pen names.

Accounts and permitted use

You must use a Google account you control and keep access to it secure. You may use the app for your own internal operating work. You may not resell, redistribute, systematically extract, scrape, copy in bulk, or provide the database or access to another party without written permission.

Plans, renewal, and launch offer

Prices and included features are shown before checkout in U.S. dollars. Paid subscriptions renew automatically through PayPal on the selected monthly or annual cycle until cancelled. If the launch offer is displayed at checkout, it applies only as described there and only to the first eligible subscription. After the offer period, the subscription renews at the stated regular price.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel renewal in Account & billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal and does not shorten the paid period already purchased. Payments are not refunded once paid access has begun. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy for the complete policy.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary. We may update these Terms for future use; a revised effective date will appear on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Liability

The service is provided for research and operational use. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Projects Ahead does not guarantee a particular commercial outcome, data completeness, or uninterrupted availability. Do not rely on Projects Ahead as the sole basis for a bid, hiring, credit, insurance, safety, legal, or other material decision.
